Controversial opinion: The Democrats lost because they didn't listen to the voters, who were clearly looking for change. Obama successfully campaigned on change and won most of the country. Trump is also campaigning on change, and the same swing voters that voted for Obama are now voting for Trump. It's not a coincidence. Whether you think a particular candidate is a liar is irrelevant. Candidates that can speak to the electorate and addresses their needs and concerns are the ones who get elected. Like it or not.
