The Fediverse reacts to a murder
New York City, Wednesday morning: CEO of health insurance company is shot dead.
Left side of the Fediverse, Wednesday evening: "I do not condone violence, but I am proud of having no sympathy for the CEO."
Left side of the Fediverse, Friday evening: "The shooter is a hero, if you see him don't tell anyone, and here is a list of more CEOs."
Stop. Please, just stop. Because:
- It makes you look evil, and
- This is exactly what the right wing wants you to say, so that they can paint the entire left as murderous revolutionaries and justify the coming crackdown.
