While the politicians claim to speak for the poor and marginalized from their mansions and private jets, they rarely actually do anything to solve the problems they point out. For example, they could teach people how to run a business, or how to start a cooperative, or how to start a non-profit. Things that would give people skills to create wealth, not just transfer it from one person to another. They could provide funds to help jump start things. But, no, they would rather you hate their political opponents so they can stay in power, keeping you poor and a victim so they can keep manipulating you.
