What I don't understand is how people are saying that it is unsafe to put data in U.S. servers because U.S. politicians may suppress your speech and go after you, even though the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is probably the strongest protection of free speech in the world. Meanwhile, Germany will fine you or send you to jail if you insult someone online, and the United Kingdom wants cryptographic backdoors so they can read everyone's messages worldwide.
