There is this pattern forming that I don't think the average person notices (especially those on the left).
The wealthy have infiltrated the government and corrupted it. If you look at the laws they pass, they are really the ones in control, not the voters. The laws always benefit the rich, not the common person.
They break the economy and collect as much wealth as they can. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer.
The wealthy try to distract people by telling you that society's problems are about race and gender or immigration, not about them hoarding all of the wealth.
People get desperate and demand change.
Wealthy people on the left starting proposing "socialism" as the solution. But all of their "socialist" programs result in more government control rather than empowering workers. And the wealthy control the government.
If you define socialism as a society that benefits workers, that is not what they are proposing or building, despite their promises and campaign slogans.
If you look closely, they are actually building authoritarianism with the wealthy in control. If you look beyond the propaganda and what they are actually doing, you would not vote for them unless you were an authoritarian elite. But they are banking on the fact that most people just listen to slogans and won't notice until it is too late.
This is just a tactic to get you to voluntarily give control to the wealthy in the name of socialism. If you are a real socialist who believes in the ideals of socialism, you should be appalled at it being corrupted by the wealthy like this.
